With the DCR’s Hatch Shell under renovation, meet us this year on Sunday, June 14 at DCR’s Baxter Park at Assembly Row, Somerville. Ample, free on-site parking will make your travel simple. Walk along the scenic Mystic River, then stay to enjoy our beloved traditions: plenty of food, fun, and family-friendly entertainment.

Where is the Walk?

The Walk will start at the DCR’s Baxter Park along the Mystic River at Assembly Row in Somerville, MA. The Walk routes will head out of Assembly Row along the Mystic River, loop back and finish at the DCR’s Draw Seven Park adjacent to Assembly Row. Assembly Row is a new outdoor retail space where you can shop, dine and live. Visit www.assemblyrow.com for more information on shopping, activities and restaurants.

What is the address of the Walk?

The address of the Walk is 100 Foley Street, Somerville, MA.

What is the Walk route?

Pick the 2 or 7-mile walk along the scenic Mystic River. The route is paved and handicap assessable. Wheelchairs and wagons are welcome. Closer to walk day route maps will be provided when you log into your Fundraising Center.

Is there parking?

Yes, there is plenty of free parking right at Assembly Row. If you register by May 22 we’ll mail you a parking pass to place on the dashboard of your car. All walk participants will be directed to designated lots with reserved parking for the event. If you register after May 22 you’ll receive a parking pass once you arrive at the designated lots.

Can I get there by public transportation?

Yes. Take the MBTA Orange line to Assembly Station. This will bring you right to Assembly Row. There will be staff guiding you once you arrive.

Directions

The Walk is by the new Assembly Station MBTA stop and easy to get to by car off of interstate 93.

Take the “T” (MBTA)

Take the Orange Line to the Assembly Station stop (between the Sullivan Square stop and the Wellington stop). Assembly Station is located directly on the property at Assembly Row in Somerville.

Driving

Registered walkers can park at Assembly Row at no cost. Place the parking pass (we’ll mail you the week before the Walk) on your dashboard to ensure you’ll be directed to designated parking for walkers.
