Once again I am running the Falmouth Road Race for Boston Children's Hospital Trust.
This will be my ninth year running the race and with the help with so many people I have raised over $16,000 for this amazing hospital.
I am not a great runner but I love doing this race.
Why do I run for Children's?
- For my amazing friend Miss Eliot Grace who has undergone several heart surgeries at Children's and is just amazing and just turned 3!
- Because I am fortunate enough to be an aunt to amazing group of nieces and nephews some of who have used the amazing services at Children's and just stun me with their amazing talents and treasures. (All but two are in this picture).
- In memory of my Mom who I miss every day. Children's saved her life when she was 6 months old. If they hadn't she never would have married my Dad and had me. (He's the dapper gentleman in the front row right).
So how can I not run for Children's.
I know you are asked to support a lot of causes - including sometimes others from me but this year this is the only race I am running for a cause. (Believe it or not I am going to try to do a half marathon this year - oh my goodness).
I am asking for $1 a mile. The race is 7 miles. Please consider sponsoring me for $7.
I promised on August 20, 2017 I will give it my all and I will have a great time. And if you are out there watching on August 20th let me know.
