Helo my friends
I am happy to tell you that I am running the New York Marathon this November 4th in aid of the Bostons Childrens Hospital but more importantly I am running it in honor of a young boy only 8 years old that lives on the island.
His name is Felix Soarses and he is currently battling Leukemia and in the middle of treatments at Bostons Childrens Hospital,
I can't imagine how brave he must be to be going through such an ordeal and how hard it must be for his family to cope with a loved one so sick, when I look at my own kids I count my blessings and hold them tighter hoping I never have to go through such a struggle!
I believe so strongly in all the amazing things Boston Children's Hospital does for kids:
- The hospital's patient care programs are unusually sensitive to what sick and injured children and their families really need.
- Researchers regularly make amazing discoveries that change children's lives.
- Boston Children's welcomes kids whose families can't afford health care--more than any other hospital in Massachusetts.
- Community programs makes a point of reaching out to help low-income and at-risk kids.
And the hospital doesn't just stop there. Boston Children's really understands the importance of training the next generation of top pediatricians and nurses, so they can continue to provide the best, most innovative care possible to kids.
So I ask you to please donate what ever you can for the hospital that takes such good care of Felix and all the other children that visit such a great instituation
