Robert has been a patient at Children's Hospital for 19 years. He has been through more in his 19 years than most people go through in a life time of 50 or more. He has the best disposition, is patient, kind and compassionate. He is full of love and understanding and wants to help everyone who needs it. He is the most determined young man I know. He teaches me, as his mother, something new everyday. I have learned humility, compassion, patience, live life to the fullest and don't sweat the small stuff among many. I still have a lot to learn from him. We also have A LOT to be thankful for. The doctors, nurses, therapists, support staff and everyone in-between have been our source of strength and hope for the past 19 years. They have saved Robert's life so many times. Just knowing we have someone to call to get us out of an emergency situation is the most comforting and somewhat puts our minds at ease. You are never at ease when dealing with a medically complex child but knowing you have professionals who know and deeply care about your child means more to us than we can possible put into words. We are forever in debt for the care we receive and as impossible as it is to "repay" everyone back for their incredible care we like to pay it forward. We are walking again this year so that we can help others get the care we have received until every child is well. Please help us by making a donation today. Thank you!!
