The Skywalkers

It's all about teamwork! And our team is united in support of Eversource Walk for Boston Children's Hospital because we want to help patients get the care they need.

We also walk for this goofball pictured here, Thomas Johnson.

For those of you who don't know Thomas was admitted into Boston Children's Hospital almost immediately after he was born in Quincy. He had some breathing problems that eventually led to two collapsed lungs. Boston Children's was called in to help Quincy Hospital care for my brother. Usually they would only send in a specialized team, which would not include a doctor. However, a doctor had heard of Tommy's case and came along with the team. While the team was caring for him, one lung and then the other collapsed. If it wasn't for that doctor being at Quincy Hospital (and the Boston Children's team), Thomas would not be here today. I would just like to thank them again for all their hard work in the past, present, and future.

Boston Children's Hospital is ranked #1 in more specialties than any other pediatric hospital by U.S. News & World Report. Here are a few reasons why:

  • The hospital's patient care programs provide the best, most innovative care possible.
  • Researchers regularly make amazing discoveries that change children's lives.
  • Boston Children's welcomes kids whose families can't afford health care--more than any other hospital in Massachusetts.
  • Community programs makes a point of reaching out to help low-income and at-risk kids.

And the hospital doesn't just stop there. Boston Children's really understands the importance of training the next generation of top pediatricians and nurses.
