We're fundraising on behalf of the amazing Gene Therapy program at Boston Children's Hospital
Although gene therapy is relatively new and often still considered experimental (clinical trial), it can provide a cure for life-threatening diseases that don’t respond well to other therapies (including immunodeficiencies, metabolic disorders, and relapsed cancers) and for acute conditions that currently rely on complex and expensive life-long medication and management (such as sickle cell disease and hemophilia).
To deliver these patients-specific treatments, the Gene Therapy program enables every step of the process, relying on a very diverse and multi-talented team of individuals. Transforming groundbreaking research into actual medicine is at the heart of the program. Here are our ongoing Gene Therapy Clinical Trials:
Sickle Cell Disease
X-linked Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID-X1)
Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome (WAS)
Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD)
CAR T-cell therapy for relapsed B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).
Please consider a donation to support our fundraising efforts for the Gene Therapy program by joining our team or making a gift to one of our team members. We are stronger together!
