Rare Clare's Tribe
Hello! My name is Clare and I am a sophomore in high school. In February of this year, I was diagnosed at Boston Children's Hospital with a rare condition, not something you think will happen in high school. In brief, I was only born with one kidney and therefore other parts of my body's anatomy were also different than the average persons. Luckily, the specialist on my condition works at Boston Children's and I only live 30 minutes away from the city. Five ultrasounds, two MRIs, three emergency department visits, five appointments and one surgery later I'm on the mend. Every day gets a little bit easier for me, which I am so thankful about.
I walk out of gratitude for the techs, nurses, doctors, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and every other staff member at Children's who has cared for me in my time of need. I gather my tribe to walk in solidaritywith the hospital that saves lives and has treatment for my fellow rare people.
We're fundraising on behalf of Boston Children's Hospital because:
WE BELIEVE no parent should experience the loss of a child.
WE BELIEVE no sibling should have to watch their brother or sister suffer.
WE BELIEVE that by investing in the best doctors and scientists we can save lives - today!
WE BELIEVE that donations received before today helped a child we love and
WE BELIEVE that every dollar we raise for Boston Children's Hospital will have a ripple effect and could be THE dollar that changes everything for a future family in crisis.
Please consider a donation to support our fundraising efforts... because WE KNOW that when we band together, WE WILL help fund Boston Children's exceptional care and groundbreaking research that can help every child.
Support the hospital by joining our team or making a gift to one of our team members.
